WWII Famous General Set

Legendary Commanders for Your Diorama
This set of figures will enable modelers to depict five of the greatest commanders of WWII. Characteristic features of each of these legendary leaders are authentically portrayed in 1/48 scale form: Patton's dignified stance, Eisenhower's "Ike" jacket, MacArthur's pipe, Montgomery's beret, and Rommel's goggles. The set includes two of each figure.

■General George S. Patton
General Patton was a brilliant leader known for his toughness and fierce fighting spirit. He was a proponent of mobile warfare who led his forces during the invasion of North Africa and went on to command the U.S. Third Army during the Allied invasion of Normandy.

■General Dwight D. Eisenhower
General Eisenhower was the Supreme Allied Commander in Europe during WWII and oversaw the historic invasion of Normandy. After the war he became the Supreme Commander of NATO before being elected as the 34th U.S. President in 1953.

■General Douglas MacArthur
General MacArthur was the Supreme Commander of Allied Forces in the Southwest Pacific Area and led the counterattack against the Japanese in the Pacific. After the war he oversaw the Allied occupation of Japan and was also the commander of UN forces during the Korean conflict.

■Field Marshal Bernard Montgomery
Known for his cool and composed leadership, Field Marshal Montgomery was famous for leading the British Eighth Army against Axis forces in the North African desert. He went on to command British forces during the invasion of Normandy.

■Field Marshal Erwin Rommel
Using daring strategy and tactics, Field Marshal Rommel repeatedly defeated the numerically superior Allied forces in North Africa and became known as the "Desert Fox" for his exploits. After the eventual Axis defeat in North Africa, he went on to organize the defense of Normandy against the Allied invasion.
